The major bugs that have been plaguing the server have already been fixed for the most part. Minor bugs are a slow fix, you can't expect hclewk to be coding every single day to fix all the problems. It is unsafe to mine rupees alone. Period. Bamf is not a 100% chase tool when targeting other players. It used to be, but with the pullback mechanic all it takes is a teammate to prevent the chasers from gaining ground. In addition to this, it is always safe to carry an entire stack of Ender Pearls. All it takes is a few well thrown pearls to get 2-3 jumps ahead, then use Bamf to escape effectively, throwing another pearl after 2-3 Bamfs. So if you're pulled back while the Pearl is midair, when it procs, the chasers won't know where you are. In addition to this, several players have used the hole to bedrock technique with Herme's for escaping and hiding in tunnels after they fall. It gives you just enough time to TP out, especially if it's a teamfight. MCRPG is not a bad server, just not as many players as it deserves. At the core it is a great almost vanilla PVP experience and it is still in development. Mistborn, MCRPG's predecessor, didn't have a monetary reward to my knowledge and it still brought in players. The server is still very new and just needs advertisement and the right groups of players to keep it competitive.
As for the edit: git gud.
You didn't play safe and you didn't your research, so you got burned for it. With a highscore like what you had, you shouldn't be mining alone, it's that simple. You haven't been on recently like you stated, so you were unaware of potential threats. If you would have checked the scoreboard before you logged in, even that could have given you some sort of indication that you shouldn't mine alone with those players online. Also, it's not the highscore players ganging up on you, _ paije_ and MissCloBunny are my team mates, not randos. You didn't mine spawn prepared with the materials needed to escape or survive combat with a possible ambush.
