G'day chaps and chapette's, I've a little suggestion for you here that could improve structures and balance them.
At the moment, a structure is owned by whoever has invested the most rupees in it. So if player A has a structure with 500r invested in it, player B can take ownership by investing 501r, because player B owns a higher % of the structure than player A.
To explain my idea you need to view the rupees invested into the structure by player A as improving the durability of the structure.
Seen like this, when player A invests 500r into the structure the durability becomes 500. If player A invests more rupees (or players on his team do) then the durability is increased.
So when player B tries to attack the structure, they cannot try to take over the structure immediately, but have to wear down the durability of the structure before they can take it over.
This would mean that, at any one time, there is only one team that has any ownership over the structure.
Effectively, you could visualise this as the attacker of the structure "chipping away" the durability of the structure until it is undefended and the structure can be claimed by the attacker.
You might think that this doesn't make any real change to the system, as a structure with 500r could still be taken over by investing 501r, so thats where the second part of my idea comes in.
This is that the amount that can be invested at once is limited. This could be a set amount (eg: 500r at once) or a percentage (eg: 25% ie: 125r). Once you have invested into the structure a cool-down begins (which may last depending on how much you invest). This is the structure owner / defender's chance to reinvest into the structure to "repair" the durability in order to defend (this was inspired by the "under siege" part of the current structure system)
This would allow people to defend themselves without being online constantly, as well as making the siege of a structure more interesting.
So, what do you think? I may have forgotten to add certain details, so if there is an issue with the idea in terms of the mechanics, please mention it!
